Enameling is used in product design as a means of creating a hard-wearing and hygienic finish. Particles of glass are sprayed on cast iron and then fired at furiously high temperatures. The result: an indestructible finish with vibrant color. Made from cast iron, the Vessels; Trio, Quad and Pentad are unashamedly geometric shapes which can be placed in multiple positions using their sides for support. The dense rough black of the casting contrasts with the glossy vitreous enameling, and as they are food safe, they can be used as bowls, platters or table centerpieces.
